An Effective Approach to Networking,
Relationship Building, and Business Success
The Abundance Group (TAG) is the realization of a journey started by Bryan Waldon Pope in 1995. Discouraged with traditional business networking groups, Bryan set out to discover an approach to networking that would allow each participant to be on an equal playing field, do away with sales pitches, and build lasting relationships that turn into real business. He has brought over 15 years of success with his networking format to the world in the form of The Abundance Group.
TAG is absolutely free of charge to qualified participants including business owners and management-level decision-makers.
The Five-Faceted Mission of TAG:
1. To facilitate the mutual introduction of abundance-minded business decision-makers through warm, live, local networks;
2. To create meeting environments in which elements counter-productive to meaningful relationship building are removed (sales pitches, cliques, group stagnation, etc.);
3. To create a culture in which one's desire and willingness to serve and do good for others outweighs superficial status indicators;
4. To help members' businesses grow through the implementation of the abundance mentality, with additional service opportunities in each community being undertaken by local TAG members; and
5. To accomplish all this with globally accessible, highly duplicable, free tools and systems.
How TAG works:
:: You must attend a TAG Huddle or TAG Mingle as a guest in order to be invited into the group. If you don't know a TAG member who can invite you, fill out the form at the right and we'll get your information into the hands of TAG members in your area.
:: A TAG Huddle is a 90-minute meeting, usually over breakfast or lunch, with other business decision-makers in your geographic area. TAG Huddles are unique in that they are limited to 6-8 people and the conversation is about the people in attendance and their needs, as opposed to the traditional pitch-fest model of networking. Our purpose in gathering is to help each other grow our businesses--which goes well beyond simply making sales.
:: A TAG Mingle is an open networking event, much like those you are used to attending, with the exception of the fact that, once again, we focus on interactions that build relationships instead of simply handing out business cards and pitching our businesses.
:: Each member has the opportunity to set up or be invited to as many TAG Huddles or TAG Mingles each month as he/she wishes. By joining TAG, you indicate that you are committed to attending at least one TAG event each month, introducing at least one new qualified acquaintance to TAG, and organizing at least one TAG Huddle or Mingle per quarter (with the help of your fellow TAG members, of course).
:: The TAG member site keeps you informed of business building opportunities like webinars and area TAG events, and also gives you a place to meet other local TAG members to invite to your Huddles and Mingles. Of course, other TAG members will find you on the site as well and include you in their events.
:: There is NO selling by TAG members on the member site or at TAG events. The purpose of membership is to get to know the needs of others and serve them first. In that process, you will also be the focus of members' efforts in meeting your needs (getting referrals, setting up strategic alliances, etc.). You get what you need by making sure your fellow members are getting what they need.
:: The only cost for your involvement is your own meal (when TAG Huddles are held at a breakfast or lunch meeting, for example) and any products or services you choose to purchase through TAG. There is NEVER a requirement to purchase anything from or through TAG.

If there are no members in your area, you will receive information on how to become the initiator of TAG in your business community.
